Why Clicking with God?

The Story Behind the Name and the Invitation Within It

Most of us have said, “we just clicked.” It’s how we describe a relationship that feels easy, genuine, and full of life.

Years ago, while I was trying to understand what it means to abide in Christ, I started saying "clicking with God" to describe a relationship with Him that feels connected and trusted. It’s not perfect, but it’s real.

This idea started with an experience I had long before I realized what it meant spiritually.

At Frontier Ranch, I learned how to rappel down a 120-foot cliff. The rope, harness, and carabiner kept me safe, but I lost my rhythm with the rope and ended up upside down. Even so, the gear held me securely.

That experience turned into a metaphor for me.

The carabiner is what makes the click. The connection is strong, but the experience depends on trust.

Jesus’ words in John 15 made this metaphor come alive for me:

“I am the vine; you are the branches.”

Abiding is the spiritual click. It’s the connection that holds everything together.

Clicking with God isn’t a destination. It’s a way of living—a daily choice to stay connected to Christ, trust His love, and listen to His voice.
